Principal

Dr. Danielle Curzi

Over the past 25 years in education, I have had the privilege of serving students and educators across both urban and suburban communities in a variety of transformational leadership roles. My experiences as a K–4 Principal, K–12 Director of Extended Learning, K–12 Principal, K–21 Special Education Supervisor and Principal, Instructional Literacy Coach, Instructional Technology Specialist, and Teacher have shaped my passion for the Science of Learning and my commitment to continuous educator growth.

Most recently, I participated in the National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) course, The Research on Learning and the Implications for Teacher, Leadership, and School Organization. Following this work, I was invited to join a pilot cohort for a new Pennsylvania leadership course titled Sustaining Transformation through Capacity and Commitment. These experiences, along with my doctoral research and multiple Action Learning projects, have strengthened my belief that there is a powerful connection between an educator’s understanding of how people learn and their ability to intentionally apply that knowledge in the classroom and beyond.

I hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction, a K–12 Instructional Leadership and Supervisory Certificate, a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Literacy, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Throughout my career, I have also provided professional development and independent consulting for school districts, Intermediate Units, and at national and state conferences.

During the 2019–2020 pandemic, I played an active role in Continuity of Education planning and implementation, providing guidance on regular and special education policies and procedures. I supported educators across the state through professional development webinars and individualized coaching focused on virtual learning and instructional effectiveness.

The range of leadership roles and consulting experiences I have held has allowed me to collaborate with educators and stakeholders at all levels. My driving purpose remains clear—to support teachers in implementing research-based, effective instructional practices that foster meaningful learning for every child.

At Bermudian Springs Elementary, I am proud to lead a community of dedicated educators who share a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and doing what is right for students every day. Together, we strive to create a nurturing and challenging environment where all children can learn, grow, and thrive.
